It's been a month...

It's been a month since I last published a blog; and there's a lot to catch up on. So, I started Year 12 and it's been downhill since then. Only joking! I am really enjoying doing less subjects and a have a great mix of teachers. I have a feeling this year is going to be hard work; but work I'll want to do, unlike last years science exams!

Due to JP and Craig post above, I forgot to mention my amazing day of work with Alex, Charlotte and Jamie. Spent hours asking people if they 'would like a leaflet about the Guillemots, support act today?' and since everyone said no, I have pledged to take a leaflet from everyone who asks from now on. But... I did get to see R.E.M for free; and they were amazing!

So, there is a lot less to say these days with so much of my time taken up with school and playing on my shiny MacBook. Had a nice day out with Karimah where I spend WAY too much on back-to-school clothes. Queens Park Day on Sunday was tiring, as always. Telling Brownies to be quiet is a lot of work. But it was nice to see people; Ed with his three ice-creams and people addicted to the tombola. Good times!

I saw the Chemical Brothers perform a DJ set at the Southbank for free! (I'm starting to realise I have done a lot more than I thought). It was really amazing; I went with Emma and we found a seat by the cable-covers and just watched people drop. I think everyone thought we were high we were laughing so much! Genius...

Saw 'Pineapple Express' with Alex and Charlotte. Apart from the jump, which was so funny, the film seemed a little too sure that the stereotypes were 'likable losers' but I'm not sure they were likable. And the plot was unbelievable! But I love James Franco; he is obviously a very talented and versatile actor. And trust me, watching Charlotte cracking up on one side and Alex groaning on the other; it is hilarious!

Team-building day on Tuesday: went to the middle of nowhere to do 'team-building' activities. Our team came second: which was not bad. Ed grabbed a stick and called it 'The Staff of Leadership' and I got ill just watching people do that absailing thing but... it was actually better than expected. Very similar to stuff with Eton but it's a lot nicer to do those things with people you are more familiar with.

And... wow, this is a lot. I did Rockcorps yesterday where I got yet another free ticket by painting the lines on my school playground. It was quite fun actually; met some nice people, goody bag and free sandwiches. So, it was all good. And now, what you (and I) have been waiting for...

GAY UPDATE: So, Nuke was crap because Noah has gone to Rome; nothing good until October when him and Kevin return. Interesting. Ollian have also been pretty quiet when it comes to their own storylines although today did spice it up (I have only managed to watch it free of subtitles though). But clearly, obviously, the winner is HOLLYOAKS. A year in the waiting.
I thought all the episode, but especialy the Sunset Ending was perfectly pitched; romantic without being overdone, reminiscent without only pandering to fans, didn't forget Kieron or lie about his feelings for Craig, joke at the end, amazing acting... my only complaint? Now we have to go on without them! Brothers and Sisters is returning next week and will have to take John Paul's place! We will miss you James and Guy; and good luck! Oh, yeah... and see you in October/November!

Next week: The Dark Knight: IMAX experience reviewed, Envision meeting tomorrow and... other stuff that happens in my week. And the first GAY UPDATE without John Paul *sniffles*

xXx
